WHAT IS A DIET?

The saying "No thank you, I'm on a diet." We are sure you have said it more than a few times in your life. Do you remember when you last said that? Were you happy then? Most people will answer no to this question.

Someone who is on a "diet" wants to reduce their body weight and even if they have decided to lose weight, they will probably not stick to this diet for that long.

Why?

If we follow a certain diet, we are forced to act against our nature, that is, to eat when there is something to eat. Our ancestors did not know when the next meal would be served and they therefore ate a lot of food in advance. It did not matter what was on the plate.

If we try to combat this natural behavior, it creates a stressful situation for us. This stress reduces our initial motivation and goals. Stress not only stresses us psychologically, it also appears physically in our bodies and if we have very high levels of stress it can cause illness.
