WHAT SHOULD YOU EAT BEFORE A WORKOUT


You need to eat before the workout to have the fuel to train harder.


If you want to be able to train at a good level, you need to eat 1.5-3 hours before the workout. Sometimes when I have time to spare, I take a small snack an hour before. In this way, I have energy when I train, which makes me feel more powerful in training and I can perform at a higher level. This is especially true when I do strength training or run intervals.


If you train low-intensity, the importance of replenishing energy is not as great. I try to do my low-intensity exercise (early walks) on an empty stomach. Research has shown that doing so can be beneficial.


So if you drive high intensity - Important to replenish energy. If you drive low intensity - Not as important, can even be an advantage with an empty stomach.
